I have stopped using X, but I just tried to share one of my stories on Medium to X, and didn’t encounter a problem. Both ‘Share’ using the share sheet and copy-paste of the link work fine.

Alternative could be to start blogging on micro.blog, and then automatically share your story on Medium, X, Mastodon, BlueSky etc.
